Take a road trip across Texas and you\u2019ll likely come across the familiar gas station chain Buc-ee\u2019s. The familiar roadside outpost operates massive convenience stores stocked and loaded with a wide variety of snacks and beverages, including freshly prepared brisket sandwiches (we are talking about\u00a0Texas<\/em>, after all), as well as next-level clean\u00a0restrooms<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Like most brands, Buc-ee\u2019s takes great lengths to protect its identity against copyright infringement, often sending nastygrams to companies it feels are copying elements like its signature logo, a brown and white beaver wearing a red cap against a circular yellow background.<\/p>\n

But its latest action against a small business owner has people scratching their heads and questioning if Buc-ee\u2019s is going too far in defending its branding.<\/p>\n
