US-based manufacturer of sustainable, compostable moulded fibre packaging Genera has named Asem Mokaddem as its new chief financial officer (CFO).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mokaddem assumes the new responsibility with immediate effect.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He brings more than 20 years of senior finance experience covering investment banking, corporate development and manufacturing operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He joins Genera after holding the roles of president and previously CFO at Tellus Products, a producer of sustainable moulded fibre items.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier in his career, Mokaddem held executive positions at Rabobank and Macquarie Capital, where he provided advisory services to Fortune 500 companies in the paper, packaging and forest products industries.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has also served in senior roles at Sonoco Products Company, Shell and Lehman Brothers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Genera, headquartered in Vonore, Tennessee, operates as a vertically integrated producer of plant-based moulded fibre.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company works with local farmers to cultivate regenerative grasses that are converted into commercially compostable foodservice and consumer packaging, following what it describes as a circular \u201cfarm-to-compost\u201d model.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2025, Genera completed a $340m expansion of its manufacturing site in Vonore.\u00a0<\/p>\n
