Mondi Dyn\u00e4s is carrying out a multi-year investment programme with\u00a0a new fibre line and continuous digester at its kraft paper mill in Kramfors, Sweden.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The upgrade programme also covers the installation of a bark boiler, bark dryer and tall oil plant.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The equipment is intended to support long-term mill operations, improve energy efficiency and strengthen environmental performance.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The bark boiler will reduce reliance on fossil fuels, while the new digester is expected to improve energy and water usage across production and has further enhanced the strength of the company\u2019s paper products.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Dyn\u00e4s mill holds official recognition from the Swedish edition of Guinness World Records for producing the world\u2019s strongest paper.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The fibre line and digester were brought into operation during the site\u2019s annual maintenance shutdown in May 2025.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Construction was carried out within a restricted space at the mill while keeping operations running.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

At peak activity, up to 650 workers were on site, more than 50% above normal staffing levels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Safety oversight was based on continuous on-site monitoring using a \u201cboots-on-the-ground\u201d approach.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The modernisation lifts Mondi\u2019s production capacity, lowers carbon emissions and improves resource efficiency as part of the mill\u2019s long-term development plans.\u00a0<\/p>\n
