The new cups are similar in appearance to the standard white single-use cups with the green siren logo in front used for hot drinks but are fiber-based and compostable. The new dome lids for cold beverages are also fiber-based and white. The double-insulated cups also come lined with what Starbucks describes as a \u201cbioplastic\u201d material.<\/p>\n<p>Why is Starbucks only introducing compostable cold cups in 24 out of\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/hasdata.com\/brand-reports\/starbucks\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">approximately<\/a>\u00a017,000 US stores?
