Stahl has\u00a0concluded\u00a0the\u00a0carve-out\u00a0of its wet-end leather chemicals division, with\u00a0the business\u00a0operating independently as Muno from 1 January 2026.<\/p>\n

The newly established company will be majority-owned by Wendel.<\/p>\n

This development marks the end of Stahl\u2019s multi-year transformation, with the company stating it will now focus on developing speciality coatings for flexible materials.<\/p>\n

The divestiture of its wet-end leather chemicals activities represents a shift towards operating solely as a speciality coatings formulator.<\/p>\n

The company\u00a0aims to broaden its presence in sectors that include performance coatings and packaging coatings, areas it identifies as having significant growth potential.<\/p>\n

Stahl CEO Maarten Heijbroek said:\u202f\u201cThis milestone reflects our commitment to clarity of purpose and long-term value creation. Establishing two independent companies will enable each to focus on its strengths and accelerate innovation in its field. Stahl will continue to drive progress in speciality coatings for a wide range of flexible materials, while Muno embarks on its own path in wet-end leather chemicals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Stahl\u00a0completed the integration<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Weilburger\u00a0Graphics\u2019 packaging coatings business in\u00a0Turkey. This business now\u00a0operates\u00a0under the name Stahl Kimya.<\/p>\n

Stahl Kimya will offer an expanded range of coating products and will draw on both international technical\u00a0expertise\u00a0and local knowledge to service the Turkish market.<\/p>\n
