Flexible packaging manufacturer PPC Flex has purchased S\u00dcDPACK\u2019s US operations for an undisclosed sum.<\/p>\n

The integration of S\u00dcDPACK\u2019s US operations is intended to strengthen PPC Flex\u2019s role as a packaging supplier to consumer and healthcare goods sectors.<\/p>\n

The deal also covers S\u00dcDPACK\u2019s facility in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, which is close to major meat and cheese production areas in the US.<\/p>\n

PPC Flex said that the purchase offers improved production\u202fcapabilities in flexographic printing, conversion, and cold seal technology.<\/p>\n

By adding S\u00dcDPACK\u2019s Oak Creek facility to its network, PPC Flex is expected to increase its manufacturing capacity and broaden its technical capabilities.<\/p>\n

The company plans to use the site\u2019s technology and resources to develop packaging for speciality proteins and other food markets.<\/p>\n

S\u00dcDPACK Group CEO Thorsten Seehars said: \u201cWe are very pleased to have found in PPC Flex a strong and forward-looking buyer for our US operations. Their strategic vision, innovative strength, and commitment to long-term growth give us full confidence that our facilities and our team are in excellent hands. We are equally glad that PPC Flex, with its large converting footprint, will become a strategic partner for S\u00dcDPACK in the United States going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The additional capabilities are also expected to support PPC Flex\u2019s customers in the snack and confectionery industries, particularly using cold seal technology.<\/p>\n

The company has indicated that this expansion will allow it to provide shorter lead times and increase the speed of service for its range of packaging products.<\/p>\n

PPC Flex CEO Kevin Keneally commented: \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome the S\u00dcDPACK US team into the PPC Flex family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis acquisition brings us expanded technical capabilities and capacity that will allow us to deliver even more innovative and sustainable solutions across our broad customer base.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, S\u00dcDPACK Medica introduced MedHub<\/a>, a service that allows customers to order standard, pre-manufactured medical packaging pouches through telephone, email, or online.<\/p>\n
