M.R. Snyder built control panels and provided programming services for the new system. Due to the short window, all the I\/O checkout and functional verification were tested during the FAT prior to the shutdown which helped shorten the commissioning time.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Provided control panels UL508A.<\/li>\n<li>Provided the customer with an Avtron<\/li>\n<li>Ehernet\/IP encoder for turret position.<\/li>\n<li>Replaced old unwind motors with Marathon BlackMax motors.<\/li>\n<li>Tuned and setup drives parameters for AB PowerFlex755\/525.<\/li>\n<li>Utilized the existing AB GuardLogix controller to integrate the new equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Programmed and tested safety devices.<\/li>\n<li>Used 1734 Point I\/Os on the new equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Used Studio5000 and FactoryTalk ME software packages for programming.<\/li>\n<li>Project Value: $50k to $100K.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Engineering a successful automated industrial system requires knowledge and expertise.
