Australian investment company Knoxcorp\u202fhas acquired Pro-Pac Packaging\u2019s Australian and New Zealand (NZ) businesses from administrator McGrathNicol Restructuring.<\/p>\n

For Australia, the administrators have signed a business sale agreement covering the Australian operations and assets,\u00a0but\u00a0excluding the Perfection Packaging unit.<\/p>\n

The buyer is Consolidated Packaging Australia, a\u00a0Knoxcorp\u00a0subsidiary.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The transaction is expected to be completed in early March 2026.<\/p>\n

Based in Dandenong, Victoria, Perfection Packaging is in the process of winding down, with closure scheduled for next month.<\/p>\n

In New Zealand, a separate\u00a0business sale agreement\u00a0has been signed for the local business and assets with Consolidated Packaging Limited,\u00a0Knoxcorp\u2019s\u00a0New Zealand subsidiary.<\/p>\n

Completion is expected by 30 January 2026.<\/p>\n

The deals\u00a0include the transfer of employment for existing staff, other than employees in the Perfection Packaging business.<\/p>\n

Headquartered in Brisbane and was founded by Jim Knox, Knoxcorp holds investments across operating businesses and property developments.<\/p>\n

Knox previously owned and ran\u00a0Cospak, a packaging company active in both Australia and\u00a0New Zealand, before\u00a0it was sold to San Miguel Yamamura Packaging in 2009.<\/p>\n

McGrathNicol\u00a0said the sale proceeds are not expected to generate\u00a0a return for shareholders.<\/p>\n

McGrathNicol\u00a0partner and administrator\u00a0Rob Smith said: \u201cWe are pleased to announce the sale of both PPG\u2019s Australian and New Zealand continuing businesses, which represents a positive outcome for PPG\u2019s customers, suppliers and employees.\u201d<\/p>\n

Knox said: \u201cWe are delighted with the acquisition of PPG. We look forward to further developing the business and continuing to serve its loyal customers. Local manufacturing remains essential to its customers\u2019 supply chains and we will make significant investments in machinery to deliver on our core value proposition.\u201d<\/p>\n
