UK-based producer of cling film, aluminium foil, baking papers and dispensers Prowrap has unveiled its plan to cut waste across the foodservice industry<\/a> with its dispenser recycling scheme.<\/p>\n

The scheme will see Prowrap working with its distributor partners to collect old, broken or unwanted wrapping dispensers \u2013 of any brand or model \u2013 from businesses.<\/p>\n

Prowrap will then recycle as much of the dispenser as possible and work with a UK partner to reuse parts across the company\u2019s dispenser range.<\/p>\n

Each customer who returns a dispenser will receive a promotional offer to redeem against the Speedwrap Pro Dispenser refill range.<\/p>\n

Enrolment in the scheme is free and open to any distributor or wholesaler \u2013 including those who have not previously worked with Prowrap.<\/p>\n

Prowrap CEO Jon Crowley commented: \u201cWrapping dispensers help to prevent waste by minimising the amount of material used. However, many dispensers can themselves become waste, ending up in landfill once they eventually wear out, meaning all the plastic and metal in those dispensers goes to waste. Our recycling scheme aims to give those materials a second life and, importantly, keep them out of landfill.\u201d<\/p>\n
