PureCycle Technologies and Toppan have partnered to develop more sustainable options for flexible films and thermoformed packaging.<\/p>\n

The collaboration has resulted in a snack bar wrapper containing more than 30% recycled content, produced using PureCycle\u2019s PureFive resin.<\/p>\n

The companies report that the wrapper meets snack brands\u2019 requirements for print quality and function while aiming to reduce environmental impact.<\/p>\n

Building on this initial project, PureCycle and Toppan plan to expand their efforts to additional thermoforming uses, such as snack cups and microwaveable containers.<\/p>\n

PureCycle\u2019s recycling process uses dissolution technology to convert post-consumer polypropylene into a resin that the company says is comparable to virgin material.<\/p>\n

The resulting product is suitable for food-contact uses and integrates into existing manufacturing processes.<\/p>\n

Toppan Packaging Americas operates across North America, Latin America, and Europe through 22 sites, with brands such as Alloyd, EnviroFlex, Highland Packaging Solutions, and TEQ.<\/p>\n

In December 2025, PureCycle announced its recycled polypropylene<\/a> was being used in licensed souvenir cinema cups, as part of a partnership between Golden Link North America and Churchill Container.<\/p>\n
