Mondragon Assembly has acquired ATP Engineering & Packaging, a company based in Barber\u00e0 del Vall\u00e8s, Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n

Financial specifics of the deal remain undisclosed.<\/p>\n

ATP specialises in designing and producing packaging machinery and complete line solutions for around 30 years and has 60 employees.<\/p>\n

The deal enables Mondragon Assembly to expand its business portfolio by entering the food packaging market, with a particular focus on equipment for picking and case-packing processes.<\/p>\n

ATP\u2019s existing business spans the food, hygiene, cosmetics, and household goods industries.<\/p>\n

Its offerings include automatic packaging systems, multi-format cartoning and case-packing machinery, as well as engineering services for plant logistics.<\/p>\n

ATP generates annual sales of around \u20ac12m ($14.1m), with approximately half of its revenue coming from exports, primarily within Europe.<\/p>\n

Following the acquisition, ATP is set to benefit from Mondragon Assembly\u2019s resources, international presence, and group management structure.<\/p>\n

In turn, Mondragon Assembly gains a platform with established client relationships and technical expertise in food packaging as it continues its diversification efforts.<\/p>\n

Mondragon Assembly general director Mikel Gantxegi said: \u201cWe will do everything in our power to ensure that this partnership contributes to a lasting legacy of innovation and sustainable prosperity for all future generations involved in this joint project.\u201d<\/p>\n

A part of the Mondragon Corporation, Mondragon Assembly operates a global network with production facilities and subsidiaries, as well as maintains sales offices in the US, India, and Tunisia.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Mondragon Assembly recorded a turnover of \u20ac120m, of which nearly 80% was generated from international markets. It employs more than 650 people worldwide.<\/p>\n
