Mets\u00e4 Board has introduced Mets\u00e4Board Pro FBB Go, a new folding boxboard aimed at food and pharmaceutical packaging applications in Europe.<\/p>\n

Alongside the launch, the company is rolling out a delivery system designed to provide custom-cut sheets with short lead times for customers across the region.<\/p>\n

The Mets\u00e4Board Pro FBB Go grade is produced at the company\u2019s Husum facility in Sweden and converted to specific formats at its Netherlands sheeting and distribution hub.<\/p>\n

The company highlighted that the product aims to meet requirements for consistent quality and regulatory compliance in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.<\/p>\n

It does not contain optical brightening agents (OBA) and includes hard sizing, making it suitable for use in frozen food packaging.<\/p>\n

The company also notes that the production process at Husum uses a significant proportion of fossil-free energy, with potential environmental benefits such as reduced carbon footprint through lightweighting.<\/p>\n

The new delivery options include the FastTrack service, which provides folding boxboard sheets within three weeks in Europe, and the ExpressTrack service for deliveries in under ten days.<\/p>\n

These services are established to support supply chain flexibility and limit the need for surplus stock among converters and brand owners.<\/p>\n

Mets\u00e4 Board Europe sales VP Maarten Florizoone said: \u201cOur customers operate in environments where demand can shift quickly. With Mets\u00e4Board Pro FBB Go and our new service concept, we are making production smoother, planning more predictable, and supply chains more resilient \u2013 creating a real competitive advantage for our customers in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Mets\u00e4 Board announced plans<\/a> for a new Packaging Design Studio in Milan, Italy, which is scheduled to commence operations this year.<\/p>\n
