Global healthcare packaging provider Nelipak has opened a technical development centre in Singapore to serve its Asia-Pacific clients.<\/p>\n

The centre combines expertise in both flexible and rigid sterile barrier packaging, bringing together design and innovation functions in one site, according to a statement from the company.<\/p>\n

This move represents part of Nelipak\u2019s wider global expansion and establishes a dedicated technical site in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

The new centre will support companies across Southeast Asia, India, Australia, and New Zealand.<\/p>\n

It is intended to work alongside Nelipak\u2019s international manufacturing and innovation teams so that solutions developed in the Asia-Pacific can be adapted for wider use and produced at scale.<\/p>\n

The facility aims to help medical device and pharmaceutical firms develop and validate sterile packaging systems more efficiently.<\/p>\n

Customers will be able to work directly with technical staff to create custom packaging designs and prototypes, potentially reducing development time and regulatory steps.<\/p>\n

Nelipak\u2019s Singapore site is designed to handle projects including early-stage concept development, changes in materials or sterilisation methods, line extensions, and supply chain adjustments.<\/p>\n

It also supports compliance with ISO 11607 standards for medical packaging and is equipped to support devices across various regulatory classes.<\/p>\n

Nelipak CEO Pat Chambliss said: \u201cThe Asia-Pacific is an important and growing region for global medical device innovation, manufacturing, and consumption.<\/p>\n

In December 2025, Nelipak expanded its presence by acquiring Merrill\u2019s Packaging, a company specialising in custom thermoformed packaging for the medical device, pharmaceutical, life science, and other technical markets.<\/p>\n
