Crown Holdings has named John M Rost as the executive vice-president and chief operating officer (COO) for the Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n

He is currently the president of the Asia Pacific region and operates out of Singapore.<\/p>\n

Upon assuming his new position on 1 April, Rost will relocate to Tampa, Florida, where he will continue to oversee the Asia Pacific business while also managing the global transit packaging division.<\/p>\n

He will report to chairman, president and CEO Timothy J Donahue.<\/p>\n

Donahue said: \u201cI would like to congratulate John on this well-deserved promotion.\u202f During his brief posting in Asia-Pacific, John has enhanced partner relationships while reenergising volume growth in the region.\u202f <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are confident that John\u2019s leadership abilities, global experience and deep knowledge of the industry will serve the company well in his new expanded role.\u201d\u202f<\/p>\n

Rost joined Crown Holdings in 1997 and has held a range of roles within the company, including senior vice-president of technology, sustainability and regulatory affairs.<\/p>\n

During his tenure, he contributed to the formation of Crown\u2019s global regulatory team and led sustainability initiatives, including the launch of the company\u2019s Twentyby30 programme.<\/p>\n

Headquartered in Florida, Crown Holdings provides rigid packaging to consumer marketing businesses, as well as transit and protective packaging solutions across various industries.<\/p>\n

The latest appointment follows other\u00a0changes<\/a> in the company\u2019s executive lineup, announced in 2025.<\/p>\n

Gary Gavin, who led the North American Beverage can business, became president of the Crown Americas division.<\/p>\n

He started reporting to Djalma Novaes Jr, who moved into the post of executive vice-president and COO from his role as the Americas divisional president.<\/p>\n

Gerard Gifford transitioned to executive vice-president and chief administrative officer and expected to remain in that role until retirement.<\/p>\n
