The process is granted after an assessment period that typically lasts 18 to 24 months.<\/p>\n<p>The development comes as Amcor increases its presence in major emerging markets, including China.<\/p>\n<p>With the accreditation in place, the APIC laboratory can produce test results that are recognised in 116 countries, helping customers with approval processes and entry into markets.<\/p>\n<p>The approval also improves Amcor\u2019s capacity to address domestic requirements while creating a bank of regulatory, materials and testing knowledge that may be used in other fast-growing markets.<\/p>\n<p>Work in China\u2019s sizeable and changing packaging sector allows the APIC team to strengthen its experience in certification procedures, sustainability requirements and performance assessment.<\/p>\n<p>With the approval, the laboratory can shorten compliance routes for customers, create certification methods that can be applied in other emerging markets, and provide data-based work supporting packaging performance and supply chain resilience.<\/p>\n<p>The laboratory works with customers and suppliers on tasks ranging from packaging validation to failure analysis, with a focus on transparency and faster development processes.<\/p>\n<p>Amcor research and development vice president Ludmila Fidale said: \u201cBecoming CNAS accredited means our customers don\u2019t have to second-guess the data \u2013 it\u2019s recognised wherever they operate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt allows us to solve problems faster, with confidence, especially in markets where the rules are changing quickly and sustainability expectations are rising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Amcor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.packaging-gateway.com\/news\/amcor-q3-profit-reporting-cycle-hq-change\/\" target=\"_blank\">reported attributable net income<\/a>\u00a0of $278m for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, compared with $196m a year earlier, an increase of 41.8%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From 2027, the company intends to relocate and consolidate selected corporate functions at a new US headquarters in Miami, Florida, in a move aimed at aligning resources more closely with its operating footprint.<\/p>\n<p>Amcor also intends to alter its fiscal calendar so that it matches the calendar year.
