Such is the hard-hitting news out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monotype.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Monotype<\/a>, which just unveiled a massive extension to the Gotham typeface family with Gotham Variable, to mark its 25th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>Gotham was originally designed by Jonathan Hoefler and Tobias Frere-Jones, then published by Hoefler &amp; Co. for <em>GQ <\/em>magazine in 2001, largely inspired by signage outside of the New York Port Authority.
