US-based folding carton and paper box maker International PaperBox has named Jim Caro as general manager, according to a press release posted on WhatTheyThink<\/em>.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Caro will be responsible for day-to-day operations and for helping shape the company\u2019s longer-term direction as it expands its production capacity and presence in the market.<\/p>\n

The business will continue to be led by owners Wade and Kay Holbrook, who remain involved in its management.<\/p>\n

Wade Holbrook will continue to advise on strategy while Kay Holbrook remains chief financial officer.<\/p>\n

Wade Holbrook said: \u201cInternational PaperBox has always been built on strong customer relationships and a commitment to doing things right. Jim\u2019s hands-on experience and leadership make him a great fit as we continue to grow and build on that foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the company, the appointment adds to its senior management structure and supports its emphasis on quality, efficiency and customer service.<\/p>\n

Caro has more than 30 years of experience in folding carton and packaging production.<\/p>\n

He started his career at All Packaging Company in 1994, where he worked with machinery and manufacturing processes, building experience in carton production.<\/p>\n

He later moved into management posts, including responsibility for the company\u2019s site in Salt Lake City, where he was involved in increasing production capacity, improving workflow and supporting sales growth.<\/p>\n

In the new post, Caro is working with management and production staff on further expansion, operational performance, and process improvements.<\/p>\n

Caro commented: \u201cInternational PaperBox has excellent people, strong capabilities, and a significant opportunity ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy goal is to build on what the team has created, strengthen operations, and help position the company for its next phase of growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

International PaperBox is also seeking ISO certification and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification as part of efforts to strengthen quality systems, consistency and responsible packaging practices.<\/p>\n

The company supplies custom folding cartons to brands and product businesses, with services, including die cutting, precision printing, and speciality coatings.<\/p>\n
