NUtec\u00a0Digital Ink has released Ruby R10-DTF, a UV-curable\u00a0direct-to-film\u00a0(DTF)\u00a0ink for short-run decal work, according to a press release posted on\u00a0WhatTheyThink<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ink is intended for LED-UV printers and is designed to support decal transfer and release without a weeding step.<\/p>\n

The company said removing manual weeding can reduce production time and labour input compared with traditional vinyl processes.<\/p>\n

The product is made for use on DTF A films across a range of substrates, including glass, metal and wood, along with other decorative and promotional surfaces.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0NUtec, the ink set includes a high-opacity white layer and is designed to provide colour output and coverage on dark,\u00a0tinted\u00a0and metallic materials.<\/p>\n

The formulation was developed for jetting stability and curing on DTF, PET and paper-based A-films, to maintain\u00a0consistent print output in production settings.<\/p>\n

NUtec said the ink can be used for branded gadgets, promotional items, personalised products and decorative graphics.<\/p>\n

Ruby R10-DTF is compatible with Epson I3200, I1600 and XP600 printheads, according to the company.<\/p>\n

NUtec sales and marketing head Darren Claassens said: \u201cWe are excited to announce our new Ruby R10-DTF inkset, which has been developed to help our customers simplify production and respond more efficiently to the growing demand for fast-turnaround customised decal printing.\u201d<\/p>\n
