Packaging giant Amcor has launched an international invitation for startups to join its next Amcor Lift-Off \u2014 Rigids challenge.<\/p>\n

The challenge sits within Amcor Lift-Off, a scheme run by the company\u2019s corporate venturing and open innovation team to link Amcor with startups working on future packaging technologies.<\/p>\n

Chosen participants will relate to Amcor\u2019s research, commercial and venturing teams to assess possible collaboration and investment.<\/p>\n

The new round follows earlier Amcor Lift-Off activities that led to partnerships in fields such as advanced materials, AI and recycling technology.<\/p>\n

This edition is centred on solutions for rigid packaging and related systems.<\/p>\n

Amcor is asking startups to apply with technologies in areas such as shelf-life indicators, injection moulding processes and platforms, and recyclable barrier technologies.<\/p>\n

It is also seeking submissions covering fibre-based packaging, dispenser and applicator systems, retort and pasteurisation solutions, and smart packaging.<\/p>\n

Other focus areas include hybrid rigid and flexible systems, including refill and reuse models, recycling, sorting and decontamination technologies, and AI and machine learning applications.<\/p>\n

The is looking at solutions that may raise performance, support circularity, improve consumer use or create new business models across the packaging chain.<\/p>\n

It is seeking startups whose technologies have moved beyond the earliest pilot stage and show commercial potential.<\/p>\n

The Amcor Lift-Off process will take place in three stages during June 2026.<\/p>\n

Applications will remain open until 8 June, and screening and feedback will run until 20 June. A virtual pitch day is scheduled for 30 June.<\/p>\n

Startups selected for the process will present their technologies to Amcor\u2019s research, business and corporate venturing teams.<\/p>\n

Teams that progress will be able to discuss commercial partnerships, pilot projects and possible investment, with results assessed through adoption and scalability.<\/p>\n

Amcor Lift-Off is part of the company\u2019s global innovation approach for working with startups developing distinct technologies and business models.<\/p>\n
