SupplyOne has taken over Compass Packaging Solutions, a packaging company in North Billerica, Massachusetts, US.<\/p>\n

Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.<\/p>\n

Established in 2011, Compass Packaging Solutions will remain under the management of its owner, Rick Meissner, after the deal is completed.<\/p>\n

Alongside custom protective packaging, the business also handles warehousing, distribution, fulfilment and kitting services for customers across various sectors such as life sciences and defence.<\/p>\n

Meissner said: \u201cJoining forces with\u00a0SupplyOne\u00a0enables us to continue delivering on our mission while expanding the resources and capabilities we offer our customers. We are excited to begin this new chapter with a partner who shares our customer-first values.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deal is SupplyOne\u2019s 48th acquisition and its third in the past three years involving a notable protective packaging business.<\/p>\n

The move broadens its presence in North America and adds to its packaging-related service offering.<\/p>\n

SupplyOne President and CEO Todd Renehan said: \u201cThe addition of Compass Packaging Solutions strengthens our presence in New England while adding meaningful capabilities in protective packaging, a key strategic priority for SupplyOne.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn servicing our growing New England business, we have been impressed with Compass\u2019s strategic customer approach.\u00a0 The ability to understand customers\u2019 business needs is a key differentiating factor of SupplyOne, and Compass has also approached their business with this innovative mindset.\u201d<\/p>\n

In March, SupplyOne acquired US packaging distributor<\/a> Specialty Packaging for an undisclosed amount.<\/p>\n

Specialty Packaging founders Chris Orsini and Keith Streib are set to stay in their leadership positions once that transaction is finalised.<\/p>\n

The company supplies food packaging items, including films, trays, bags and corrugated containers.<\/p>\n
