Part of the group\u2019s sustained success can be attributed to hitting the road hard; to date, they\u2019ve clocked in over 2,700 shows across 59 countries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides the constant barrage of performances, another hallmark of the Iron Maiden world is the band\u2019s mascot, Eddie, illustrated by Derek Riggs for the band\u2019s first self-titled album. Eddie would go on to become Iron Maiden\u2019s regular visual signature.
