His arrival comes ahead of the retirement of long-standing Managing Director Dr. Egbert Röhm, scheduled for the end of 2028. With this appointment, the packaging machinery manufacturer is setting the course early for a smooth succession, it says.

According to the company, with Berge, it’s gaining an accomplished leader with extensive industry and production expertise. He also reportedly has long-standing management experience in the drive technology sector.

During his career to date, Berge has been responsible for managing large production divisions and, since 2013, for the successful management of a medium-sized industrial company. In this role, he drove forward the strategic and operational development of production sites in Germany within an international context. His key priorities included developing long-term, sustainable site strategies, strengthening competitiveness, growth and operational efficiency, as well as supporting transformation processes in value chain and make-or-buy structures. He was also responsible for the introduction of modern production, control, and ERP systems.

“I look forward to shaping the next phase of growth together with the Theegarten-Pactec team. My focus will be on innovation, digitalisation, operational excellence and sustainable value creation,” comments Berge, on taking up his post.

As part of a structured transition phase, he will gradually take over responsibilities from Dr. Röhm, who has served as managing director of Theegarten-Pactec since 2005. Dr. Röhm will remain with the company as managing director until the end of 2028 and will actively support the transition. This also ensures that the company’s future management structure is in place at an early stage.

Theegarten-Pactec, based in Dresden, Germany, is a medium-sized family business now in its fourth generation. The executive management roles were previously held by Markus Rustler, responsible for finance, sales and marketing, and Dr. Röhm, responsible for technology and production. The company operates internationally, has representatives in more than 100 countries, and achieves an export share of close to 95%.

Related: AFC releases new Spiralfeeder model

Source link

Theegarten-Pactec, global manufacturer of packaging lines for the confectionery and food industries, announced Robert Berge has joined its executive team, as of June 1.
