Finnish technology company Valmet<\/a> has announced an agreement to supply an advanced IQ quality control (QC) system for corrugators to Inter Eastern Container in Prachinburi, Thailand.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Valmet will deliver IQ Warp Measurement, IQ Moisturiser with three spray booms, IQ Multipoint Moisture, and Microwave for moisture measurement, all featuring automatic closed-loop controls.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The full system is engineered to control all types of corrugated board, aiming to reduce sheet warping, improve bonding, and maximise box plant performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for completion in December this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Inter Eastern Container managing director Kittisak Rangnoktai said: \u201cWe believe that the Valmet IQ quality control system will improve the quality of our corrugated board and enhance the plant\u2019s overall productivity.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n

Valmet included the order in its second-quarter 2024 orders received.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Inter Eastern Container, a member of Inter Group Packaging, employs approximately 200 people.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company aims to achieve\u00a0carbon neutrality by 2029, as evidenced by its Carbon Footprint for Organization certification.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Valmet Southeast Asia automation systems solution sales manager Thossapon Arunsaengsuree said: \u201cThis is the first Valmet IQ quality control system delivery to Inter Eastern Container.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Valmet has experience and reference cases in Thailand, we are confident we can help the customer achieve the target to improve product quality.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In July this year, Valmet secured an order<\/a> to supply its IQ QC system for corrugators to Thai Containers Group\u2019s plant in Rayong, Thailand.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
