There\u2019s a good chance you would also prefer something that wasn\u2019t announced and reported on early last December.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Coca-Cola announced they would \u201cevolve\u201d their \u201cvoluntary\u201d environmental goals around packaging waste by pushing them out to 2035. Initially, the brand claimed they would use 50% recycled materials by 2030\u2014now, it\u2019s somewhere in the neighborhood of 35% to 40% and five years further down the road. Coca-Cola also wanted to collect a bottle or can for each one they sold (remember\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coca-colacompany.com\/reports\/world-without-waste-2020#:~:text=The%20World%20Without%20Waste%20strategy%20has%20signaled,three%20fundamental%20areas:%20design%2C%20collect%20and%20partner.&amp;text=Collect%20and%20recycle%20a%20bottle%20or%20can%20for%20each%20one%20we%20sell%20by%202030.\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the World Without Waste<\/a>\u00a0pledge?\u00a0<em>Remember<\/em>?).
