This prestigious program, presented in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snackandbakery.com\/\" id=\"\"><em>Snack Food &amp; Wholesale Bakery (SF&amp;WB)<\/em><\/a>, recognizes the baking industry\u2019s most innovative companies driving excellence in key areas like sustainability, automation, workforce development and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe BEST in Baking awards are a powerful platform to showcase incredible innovations and recognize outstanding work across the baking industry,\u201d said <strong>Jorge Zarate, IBIE Chair<\/strong>. \u201cThese awards allow remarkable companies to set themselves apart from competitors.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Award Categories<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Suppliers and baking companies of all sizes are encouraged to apply for recognition in the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Sustainability: <\/strong>Honoring advancements in equipment, ingredients, packaging, technology, and processes that improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and promote sustainability within the baking industry.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Automation &amp; Robotics:<\/strong> Recognizing equipment and technologies that automate manual processes, enhance throughput, and reduce labor needs.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Plant Efficiency: <\/strong>Showcasing innovations in equipment, ingredients, packaging, technology, and processes that improve operational efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Sanitation:<\/strong> Celebrating advancements in equipment, technology, and processes that significantly improve equipment and facility sanitation within the baking industry.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Workplace Development: <\/strong>Acknowledging supplier and bakery programs that foster sustainable development and ongoing growth of the baking workforce.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Sustainable Packaging Innovation: <\/strong><em>New for 2025!<\/em> Recognizing bakery companies that have implemented sustainable primary or secondary packaging solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The big news for 2025 is the focus of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snackandbakery.com\/blogs\/14-the-snack-bakery-scene\/post\/111207-time-again-for-the-best-in-baking\" id=\"\">Product Innovation awards<\/a> on producers of packaging\u2014one of the hottest areas of sustainability innovation today\u2014and an area we cover in great detail at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.packagingstrategies.com\/\" id=\"\"><em>Packaging Strategies<\/em><\/a> here at BNP Media, a publication that helps support the 2025 IBIE BEST in Baking Program.
