Credit: Visy.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Australian packaging company Visy has teamed up with seafood producer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globaldata.com\/store\/report\/?cdmsid=1512768&amp;scalar=true&amp;utm_source=News&amp;utm_medium=16-114340&amp;utm_campaign=company-profile-hyperlink-nonlgp\" target=\"_blank\">Tassal<\/a> to introduce new locally manufactured eco-friendly cardboard boxes for packaging prawns.<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- sponsored-whitepaper sponsored hidden sponsored-with-form --><\/p>\n<p>This new packaging is set to replace the traditional expanded polystyrene (EPS) containers and increase sustainability and food safety.<\/p>\n<p>Visy has highlighted that EPS, also known as Styrofoam, poses recycling challenges and can have a detrimental environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p>It claims that the newly developed boxes consist of up to 74% recycled content, positioning them as a sustainable alternative for prawn packaging.<\/p>\n<p>The production of these boxes takes place at Visy\u2019s Carole Park facility in Ipswich, Queensland.
