I partially blame social media, but the proposal story was an entirely separate thing long before smartphones. Still, already nervous-as-hell proposers are looking for unique ways to pop the question, and some turn to the not-so-original idea of hiding the engagement ring in food.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a bad idea for several reasons. First, it\u2019s gross. I feel pretty sure the newly betrothed doesn\u2019t want to put on a greasy ring.
