Credit: AIDAsign via Shutterstock.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Compostable packaging solutions provider Better Earth has introduced its Farmer\u2019s Fiber Retail Collection in the US.<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- sponsored-whitepaper sponsored hidden sponsored-with-form --><\/p>\n<p>The collection includes a wide range of compostable moulded fibre plates and bowls.<\/p>\n<p>Better Earth claims that this collection is Biodegradable\u00a0Products Institute (BPI)-certified and a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic and virgin wood fibre tableware.<\/p>\n<p>Manufactured in the state of Tennessee, the new line includes 10in, 9in, 7in, and three-compartment plates, along with 12oz bowls.<\/p>\n<p>The company said that the new Farmer\u2019s Fiber Retail Collection is crafted from renewable perennial fibres such as miscanthus and sorghum.<\/p>\n<p>These materials support a carbon-negative status and reflect Better Earth\u2019s commitment to fighting climate change.<\/p>\n<p>The collection\u2019s items are claimed to be per-and poly fluoroalkyl substances-free, leak-resistant, and microwave-safe, catering to both hot and cold food needs.<\/p>\n<p>Better Earth noted that its commitment to US-based manufacturing and sourcing provides significant support to small farmers and rural economies.<\/p>\n<p>In May last year, Better Earth <a href=\"https:\/\/www.packaging-gateway.com\/news\/better-earth-cutlery-dispenser\/\" target=\"_blank\">introduced its<\/a> Touch-Free Arrow Cutlery Dispenser along with the Better Earth Arrow Cutlery Collection.<\/p>\n<p>The company claimed that its BPI-certified compostable crystallized polylactic acid cutlery is also compliant with ASTM D-6400 standards for compostability.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new cutlery was claimed to be the first on the market to meet BPI\u2019s labelling standards for commercial compostability.
