Credit: Breaking The Walls via Shutterstock.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Swiss packaging company SIG has opened the first phase of its aseptic carton production facility near Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- sponsored-whitepaper sponsored hidden sponsored-with-form --><\/p>\n<p>The new facility has reportedly seen an investment of \u20ac90m ($93m).<\/p>\n<p>SIG\u2019s Ahmedabad plant will produce carton packs to meet the needs of the company\u2019s clients in the dairy and non-carbonated soft drink sectors. Among SIG\u2019s notable clients are Amul, Milky Mist, Heritage, Parle Agro, ITC, and Pepsi.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, SIG has outlined plans for the aseptic carton plant\u2019s second phase, with an additional investment of \u20ac50m earmarked for development.<\/p>\n<p>In future phases, SIG proposes expansions aimed at further boosting the site\u2019s production capacity to ten billion cartons yearly.<\/p>\n<p>Since its entry into the Indian market in 2018, SIG has seen a swift expansion of its business operations, culminating in robust double-digit revenue growth in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>SIG India, Middle East, and Africa president and general manager Abdelghany Eladib was quoted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindubusinessline.com\/companies\/swiss-packaging-entity-sig-commissions-its-first-aseptic-carton-plant-in-gujarat-plans-phase-2-expansion\/article69210223.ece\">the <em>Hindu Business Line<\/em><\/a> as saying: \u201cThis is our first aseptic carton plant in India and the tenth in the world. It has a capacity for printing and finishing four billion carton packs per annum and will employ about 300 persons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis facility also has the capacity to expand. We have approved Phase-2 of construction where we are investing an additional \u20ac50m. We will set up facilities for in-house board construction for packing material.
