Packsize, a company specialising in on-demand packaging solutions, has unveiled the X6, a new automated right-sized packaging system.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Claimed to be the market\u2019s \u2018highest capacity\u2019 machine for erecting boxes, it is capable of producing up to 1,500 flat-bottom boxes per hour from corrugated Z-fold material.<\/p>\n
The X6 can manufacture both flap boxes and corrugated trays, allowing for seamless integration with leading delivery and shuttle systems.<\/p>\n
By enabling the production of right-sized trays, the X6 facilitates direct picking into shipping containers.<\/p>\n
This innovation could potentially eliminate the need for totes, offering improved ergonomics, conveyability, and compatibility with various operator workstations.<\/p>\n
Packsize has also equipped the X6 machine with optional box-closing and lidding modules, with an aim to provide a comprehensive solution for fully automated packaging processes.<\/p>\n
The international debut of the X6 machine will take place at LogiMAT in Stuttgart, Germany, from 11-13 March 2025. <\/p>\n
Following this, the system will be showcased at this year\u2019s ProMat in Chicago, US, from 17-20 March.<\/p>\n
Packsize chief revenue officer Brian Reinhart said: \u201cThe X6 demonstrates Packsize\u2019s continued commitment to provide greater labour and picking efficiency for faster and more accurate packaging for warehouse orders, accelerating speed and productivity in the supply chain.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn addition to delivering an industry-leading throughput, the X6 produces a broad range of box sizes, including the capacity to produce boxes small enough to fit through envelope slots.\u201d<\/p>\n
