Finnish company Valmet has secured a contract to supply its automation and quality management solutions to Shandong Jintianhe Paper in China.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Under the contract, Valmet will provide the company with its DNA distributed control system, featuring built-in machine condition monitoring, its IQ quality control system (QCS), and a coat weight profiler.<\/p>\n

This initiative is set to bolster Shandong Jintianhe Paper\u2019s production of food-grade packaging materials.<\/p>\n

While the value of the order has not been disclosed, the new systems are expected to deliver \u2018high-quality\u2019 production control for the customer\u2019s folding boxboard machine.<\/p>\n

The order, which was included in Valmet\u2019s fourth-quarter (Q4) 2024 orders received, is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2025.<\/p>\n

Valmet Automation Systems business line sales manager Richard Sui said: \u201cWe are very grateful to Shandong Jintianhe Paper for choosing Valmet\u2019s automation system.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will provide the most advanced paper machine automation systems and technologies and form an experienced project team to ensure successful delivery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shandong Jintianhe Paper, established in 2022, is a subsidiary of Shandong Tianhe Paper, which specialises in the production of various paper forms and mechanical pulp.<\/p>\n

Shandong Jintianhe Paper chair Xu Zhenli said: \u201cWe are developing high-end coated white cardboard for food packaging to meet the demand and people\u2019s aspirations for a better life.<\/p>\n

\u201cRegarding the automation system for coated white cardboard machines, we trust Valmet\u2019s technology, especially their comprehensive know-how in processes, services, and automation technology.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will help our new project to be successfully put into operation and achieve our sustainable development strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Brazil\u2019s Grupo Penha announced that it would install an<\/a> advanced QCS from Valmet at its Itapira plant in S\u00e3o Paulo state.<\/p>\n
