Lithuanian company Grigeo Packaging has installed a new BOBST EXPERTFOLD 165 folder-gluer to enhance its production capacity.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This machine enables the production of a variety of box types such as six-corner boxes, and is equipped with the ACCUFEED system for precise feeding and high-speed pre-breaking capabilities.<\/p>\n

The EXPERTFOLD 165 folder-gluer is the fifth BOBST machine that Grigeo Packaging has installed since 2016.<\/p>\n

The folder-gluer complements the existing suite of BOBST equipment at the company\u2019s purpose-built facility near Vilnius, which includes machines for flatbed die-cutting and flexo post-printing.<\/p>\n

The new folder-gluer\u2019s 5m-long folding section, complete with crease relief and control devices, is claimed to ensure \u2018reliable\u2019 box opening.<\/p>\n

An integral feature of the EXPERTFOLD 165 machine is its inline quality control system, ACCUEJECT, which automatically ejects boxes that do not meet the set standards, ensuring that only top-quality products reach the end of the production line.<\/p>\n

Grigeo Packaging, which serves numerous large brand owners in the food industry, has also considered the machine\u2019s capability to be configured for e-commerce box production, a growing segment in the packaging industry.<\/p>\n

Grigeo Packaging general manager Otonas Valiu\u0161is said: \u201cOur existing machinery for multipoint glued boxes reached the limit of its capacity, so we had an urgent need to expand.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new BOBST EXPERTFOLD 165 will let us increase the production volume for the Baltics significantly, and in the process, improve the quality of our products.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the rise of online shopping, the quality of the corrugated packaging has become crucial, not only for protecting the product during shipping, but also to enrich the customer experience. Therefore, it\u2019s essential for us that we have the capability to integrate e-commerce modules in near future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grigeo expects the new BOBST machine to double its production capacity of multipoint glued packaging.<\/p>\n
