Credit: CNW Group\/Eco Guardian.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Eco Guardian, a provider of sustainable packaging solutions in Canada, is set to open a new manufacturing facility in Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- sponsored-whitepaper sponsored hidden sponsored-with-form --><\/p>\n<p>Scheduled to be fully operational by the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025, the facility will focus on producing compostable and recyclable paper cups and bowls.<\/p>\n<p>The move is aimed at reducing Canada\u2019s reliance on imports and supporting the \u201cMade in Canada\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Eco Guardian is committed to minimising its carbon footprint through the use of sustainable raw materials, manufacturing processes and responsible sourcing.<\/p>\n<p>The facility\u2019s products will be 100% compostable and recyclable, adhering to environmental standards.<\/p>\n<p>It will utilise a range of eco-friendly materials, including Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper, compostable linings and bamboo paper.<\/p>\n<p>The new facility will produce two billion cups annually, employing advanced sustainable production technologies.<\/p>\n<p>It will generate local employment opportunities and contribute to the economic development of Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is in line with the increasing demand for Canadian-made packaging solutions, as businesses face challenges with rising international trade costs and delays.<\/p>\n<p>Eco Guardian aims to meet the needs of food service providers, retailers and distributors seeking dependable supply chains.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian company is engaging with businesses to secure priority production slots in anticipation of the facility\u2019s full-scale launch.<\/p>\n<p>Eco Guardian president and CEO Anil Abrol stated: \u201cWith increasing global trade uncertainties, businesses across Canada are looking for reliable, locally sourced solutions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new facility will ensure that Canadian businesses have direct access to high-quality, eco-friendly, made-in-Canada packaging without the risk of cost increases due to tariffs and supply chain disruptions associated with overseas imports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is more than just a facility launch \u2014 it\u2019s a shift toward self-reliant, sustainable manufacturing in Canada.
