Credit: Berry Global.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Packaging solutions provider Berry Global has provided customised plastic packaging for cleaning product manufacturer Vamoosh\u2019s Plug Hole Unblocker.<\/p>\n<p>The packaging solution, which is a result of research and testing, addresses the challenges posed by the product\u2019s \u2018harsh\u2019 ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>Berry said traditional polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) materials were found to be inadequate for the unblocker\u2019s specialist chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Berry therefore opted to enhance its 600ml Alpha bottle with an environmental stress crack-resistant additive and increase the bottle\u2019s thickness.<\/p>\n<p>After testing various weights, a 52g bottle was chosen for its optimal strength.<\/p>\n<p>Cares Laboratory (inventor of Vamoosh) director Dave Toms said: \u201cOur collaboration with Berry Global has been pivotal in developing a packaging solution that meets our performance criteria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBerry\u2019s swift turnaround and comprehensive service capabilities allowed us to bring our product to market quickly and efficiently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The project included rapid 3D-rendered graphics and branding to visualise the final design, and trials with bottles of three different weights before finalising the tooling template, aiding Vamoosh in making a cost-effective choice.<\/p>\n<p>Berry sales and marketing director Joe Horton said: \u201cWe were committed to delivering a fit-for-purpose pack and fast-to-market launch for Vamoosh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe result is a packaging solution that not only meets the company\u2019s stringent requirements but also showcases how our global network and technical and design capabilities help us to achieve seamless integration and high-quality results.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The bottle\u2019s neck has been modified to accommodate a standard child-resistant closure cap, complying with regulatory standards.<\/p>\n<p>The solution was produced at Berry\u2019s Beccles facility, with the cap from its Norwich factory in England.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.packaging-gateway.com\/features\/berry-global-and-mars-launch-100-recycled-plastic-jars\" target=\"_blank\">expanded its partnership with Mars<\/a>, a snacks and sweets producer, by launching 100% recycled plastic pantry jars for brands such as M&amp;M\u2019S, Skittles, and Starburst.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Newsletter banner start --><\/p>\n<p><!-- <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"\"> --><\/p>\n<div class=\"grid-container\">\n<section class=\"gdm-newsletter-banner__container\">\n<div class=\"grid-x gdm-newsletter-banner__wrapper-container gdm-newsletter-banner__wrapper-container--article\">\n<div class=\"cell large-9 gdm-newsletter-banner-info__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"gdm-newsletter-banner-logo__container\">\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.packaging-gateway.com\/wp-content\/themes\/goodlife-wp-B2B\/assets\/images\/newsletter-new.svg\" alt=\"Email newsletter icon\"\/>\n                <\/div>\n<p><h3 class=\"gdm-newsletter-banner__heading wp-noreslt\">Sign up for our daily news round-up!<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"gdm-newsletter-banner__sub-heading\">Give your business an edge with our leading industry insights.<\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- Newsletter banner end --><\/p>\n<footer class=\"article-footer\">\n                                <!-- article-actions start --><\/p>\n<p><!-- .gdm-article-actions -->                                <!-- article-actions end --><br \/>\n                            <\/footer>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.packaging-gateway.com\/news\/berry-global-vamoosh-hole-unblocker\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Traditional PET and HDPE solutions were not appropriate for the packaging.
