Amcor has launched its AmFiber Performance Paper stand-up pouch, a refill pack tailored for instant coffee and other dry beverage items.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Initially being introduced across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, this new product forms part of Amcor\u2019s broader AmFiber Performance Paper range, which comprises recyclable paper-based packaging for dry beverage products.<\/p>\n

The new stand-up pouch is claimed to have been engineered to provide better seal integrity and barrier protection, making it a suitable choice for packaging soluble coffee products.<\/p>\n

Comprising 85% fibre content, this pouch is designed for kerbside recycling in multiple European countries, receiving certifications for recyclability from the Confederation of European Paper Industries and Aticelca.<\/p>\n

The new refill pack has been developed in response to the increasing demand from consumers for more sustainable packaging alternatives in the refill market, particularly for coffee brands.<\/p>\n

The solution will allow brands to lower the carbon footprint of their dry beverage packaging by approximately 73%.<\/p>\n

Designed with retail appeal in mind, the pouch is equipped with a sturdy bottom gusset, ensuring optimal shelf presentation and usability.<\/p>\n

The pouch is also designed to work seamlessly with coffee brands\u2019 existing packing machinery and is highly efficient for distribution due to its compact and lightweight design.<\/p>\n

Amcor coffee marketing manager Giorgio Dini said: \u201cThis newest addition to the AmFiber family offers coffee and dry beverage brands a more attractive packaging solution that has a natural, paper-based appeal and is recycle-ready.<\/p>\n

Last month, Amcor partnered with<\/a> Australian bread manufacturer Tip Top Bakeries to introduce a new line of bread bags that contains 30% recycled plastic, aligning with the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification PLUS Scheme via a mass balance approach.<\/p>\n

Amcor is also collaborating with<\/a> Kolon Industries on the development of sustainable polyester materials for Kolon\u2019s flexible packaging business.<\/p>\n
