I wanted to discover what was happening in CPG on both the micro and macro levels. Protein, of course, was a macro trend; I couldn\u2019t escape it in any aisle. But what surprised me on a micro level was that I stumbled upon two brands with olive oil packaging wrapped in gold foil.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of these brands was<a href=\"https:\/\/katies.com\/products\/extra-virgin-olive-oil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Katie\u2019s Pizza\u2019s Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and<\/a> the other was <a href=\"https:\/\/giadzy.com\/collections\/oils-1\/products\/giadzy-gold-wrapped-extra-virgin-olive-oil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Giadzy\u2019s Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/thedieline.com\/maybe-dont-package-your-olive-oil-in-a-plastic-squeeze-bottle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">We\u2019ve seen squeeze bottles<\/a>, obviously, but the gold foil concept was new to me.
