Mondi, a sustainable packaging solutions provider, has completed the acquisition of Schumacher Packaging\u2019s Western European operations into its offerings.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The deal will expand Mondi\u2019s product range and production capacity by adding more than one billion square metres of packaging production capacity to its facilities.<\/p>\n

Mondi said this expanded capacity reinforces its commitment to delivering environmentally sustainable packaging at scale.<\/p>\n

Key to the acquisition are two large-scale box manufacturing plants in Ebersdorf and Greven, Germany.<\/p>\n

These additions will enhance Mondi\u2019s portfolio with solid board options, offering e-commerce and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) clients sustainable packaging that safeguards products and improves logistics efficiency.<\/p>\n

Mondi Group CEO Andrew King said: \u201cThis acquisition significantly strengthens our corrugated packaging business, extending our footprint in Western Europe and offering strong vertical integration opportunities.<\/p>\n

Customers from Schumacher Packaging will gain access to Mondi\u2019s product line, sustainability credentials, and supply chain systems.<\/p>\n

The combination of expertise from both companies will help reduce waste and lower carbon emissions while improving operational efficiencies.<\/p>\n
