If you told me that I would write a story in 2025 about ball bearings for skateboards, then as a cartridge-carrying member of the unplayable NES game\u00a0Skate or Die<\/a><\/em>, that absolutely tracks.<\/p>\n

Of course, it also helps when the packaging looks as good as\u00a0Olympia Supply<\/a>. And you can thank Brooklyn design agency\u00a0Young Jerks<\/a>. The type-forward design doesn\u2019t even remotely resemble anything for a brand that caters to skaters\u2014and yet, it absolutely does. The turn-back-the-clock container looks like industrial packaging from a bygone era, and there is something old-world and charming about the branding that might appeal to those\u00a0Spicoli-sporting youths<\/a>. Also, maybe it\u2019s because I\u2019ve grown up in the vicinity of numerous Greek diners and restaurants, but it even bears a close resemblance to some of the signage from those establishments (and not just because the company is called Olympia).<\/p>\n
