We knew we had to find a solution that didn’t just respond to the tariffs – but moved us forward in a better direction. Ron and the Sana team have been instrumental in making that possible.”

In addition to its environmental benefits, the switch to a local supplier is economical for Silly Nice.

The company will benefit from consistent pricing and reduced lead times while avoiding the complications of international shipping, resulting in enhanced order fulfilment and less inventory pressure.

Sana Packaging, founded by Ron Basak-Smith, provides American-made packaging options that reduce waste and circumvent the unpredictability of international freight costs.

Basak-Smith said: “They [Silly Nice] didn’t just adapt to survive – they advanced to a higher level. They recognised tariffs as an opportunity for smarter business practices. Our collaborative efforts demonstrate that environmental responsibility and financial success can coexist.”

In February 2024, Sana Packaging unveiled a preroll multipack made from reclaimed ocean-bound plastic.

Featuring a child-resistant clamshell closure, this multipack can hold up to five 85mm prerolls, ranging from 0.5g to 1g each.

Sign up for our daily news round-up!

Give your business an edge with our leading industry insights.

Source link

The move is set to be economically and environmentally beneficial.
