Credit: RND Automation\/PRNewswire.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">CAS Holdings subsidiary RND Automation has acquired the intellectual property and assets of QuickPouch to strengthen its position in the packaging sector.<\/p>\n<p>QuickPouch, based in Ronkonkoma, New York, previously known as Adaptive Manufacturing Technologies, primarily catered to the medical sector, producing hundreds of pouches monthly.<\/p>\n<p>However, the company encountered difficulties, leading to a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing in August 2024, resulting in the dissolution and subsequent sale of its assets.<\/p>\n<p>RND Automation took advantage of this situation by acquiring QuickPouch\u2019s intellectual property in February this year.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, more than 300 QuickPouch systems are in operation globally, packaging a variety of products such as healthcare items, medical devices, IVD test kits and surgical instruments.<\/p>\n<p>The products also include cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food products, and both consumer and industrial goods.<\/p>\n<p>CAS president and CRO Patrick McDermott said: \u201cAcquiring\u00a0QuickPouch\u2019s assets and intellectual property is a tremendous advantage for both RND Automation and CAS Holdings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis strategic move fortifies our packaging portfolio and strengthens our position in the market for pouch-based packaging machinery.
