Credit: CNW Group \/ Reusables.com.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Canada-based Reusables.com has secured $2.6m in a seed funding round to advance its work in reducing packaging waste.<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- sponsored-whitepaper sponsored hidden sponsored-with-form --><\/p>\n<p>The round was jointly led by StandUp Ventures and Amplify Capital, with contributions from Sandpiper Ventures and Emend Vision Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Reusables.com CEO Jason Hawkins said: \u201cOur approach is simple: make reuse more cost-effective and convenient than waste.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be backed by the best tech and climate investors as we scale real impact, not just optics. Greenwashing won\u2019t solve the waste crisis\u2014technology and execution will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The capital will support further development of the company\u2019s technology-driven platform designed for reuse in institutional settings, expand enterprise partnerships across\u00a0North America and expand its team.<\/p>\n<p>Based in Vancouver, Reusables.com was established by entrepreneurs Jason Hawkins and Anastasia Kiku.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the company transitioned away from restaurant-focused operations and concentrated on large-scale food service clients.<\/p>\n<p>The company expects to triple to multi-million dollar revenue this year.<\/p>\n<p>Reusables.com offers a fully integrated system that assists institutions such as hospitals and universities in managing reusable food packaging. The platform enables these organisations to monitor reusable containers and cut costs on disposable packaging waste.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company, its solution delivers cost savings and environmental benefits by utilising on-site cleaning infrastructure to eliminate transportation emissions. It also features a smart \u201cTap to Reuse\u201d system that requires no deposits from customers.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s SaaS platform, enabled by hardware, offers institutional food service operators a seamless, data-driven ecosystem for reuse.<\/p>\n<p>Its Smart Return Bins\u2014now operating at over 34 locations\u2014enable 24\/7 automated, contamination-free returns, thereby addressing a challenge to scaling reuse systems effectively, stated the company.<\/p>\n<p>In a move aligned with Earth Day 2025 on 22 April, the University of California has adopted the platform.
