Ampol Food has opted to use SIG\u2019s DomeMini carton bottle for the launch of its V-FIT rice-based nutritional drink in Thailand.<\/p>\n

This marks the first appearance of the DomeMini solution in the Thai market.<\/p>\n

The packaging aims to offer the convenience of a plastic bottle while incorporating the environmental benefits of a carton.<\/p>\n

According to SIG, DomeMini is made primarily from Forest Stewardship Council-(FSC) certified paperboard and is manufactured using fully renewable electricity. Its lightweight, compact form is also intended to minimise environmental impact.<\/p>\n

The carton bottle is said to provide environmental benefits when compared to single-use plastic alternatives.<\/p>\n

The move reflects a growing preference among Thai consumers for environmentally friendly packaging.<\/p>\n

The packaging features a cap placed at the centre of the carton, making it easy to drink from directly.<\/p>\n

It can be reclosed, making it suitable for consumers with busy, active lifestyles. The solution\u2019s shape and functionality also give the product a distinct shelf presence.<\/p>\n

Ampol Food managing director Kriangsak Theppadungporn said: \u201cWe are leading the way, not only when it comes to innovation in our products, but also in setting the trend for packaging solutions as part of the product concept.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to differentiating its eye-catching design from other types of packaging, opting for the SIG DomeMini is a step towards more sustainable on-the-go packaging in Thailand.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are empowering our consumers to make more eco-conscious choices without compromising on convenience while consuming their beverage on the move.\u201d<\/p>\n

The SIG DomeMini 12 Aseptic filling system can process up to 12,000 packs per hour. It supports a range of fill volumes from 180ml to 350ml on a single line.<\/p>\n

Changing between volumes takes just 15 minutes, enhancing operational flexibility.<\/p>\n

This technology is designed to help beverage producers optimise efficiency, allowing for rapid adjustments in production to meet varying market requirements.<\/p>\n

SIG Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar market head Vatcharapong Ungsrisawasdi said: \u201cThe market for on-the-go beverages in Thailand is growing, and the market entry of SIG DomeMini with its sustainability benefits offers a perfect alternative to tackle the challenges of plastic bottles.<\/p>\n
