Aptar CSP Technologies has opened a new manufacturing facility in New Jersey, US, to support clinical-stage packaging for oral solid dose forms and capsule-based dry powder inhaler (DPI) drugs using Aptar CSP\u2019s proprietary Activ-Polymer platform and Activ-Blister solutions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The company claimed that its new facility is current good manufacturing practice (cGMP)-compliant.<\/p>\n

They work by limiting exposure to moisture, oxygen, and volatile compounds while also reducing nitrosamine risks.<\/p>\n

Activ-Blister incorporates a functional film layer into standard blister formats for dose-level protection.<\/p>\n

This method helps preserve each unit by creating a tailored microenvironment within the packaging.<\/p>\n

The protection can be adjusted based on the specific stability requirements of individual drug products.<\/p>\n

Built in partnership with MOD3 Pharma, the facility offers a broad range of development services.<\/p>\n

These include support for early-phase research, production of clinical materials, and stability testing.<\/p>\n

The site will also provide full chemistry, manufacturing and controls package, stability studies, and manage clinical supplies.<\/p>\n

Aptar\u2019s Activ-Polymer technology is applied across multiple healthcare product categories, the company said.<\/p>\n

It is used to shield temperature- or moisture-sensitive items such as medicines, diagnostics, and implants.<\/p>\n
