Colorcon, a provider of pharmaceutical film coating systems, has signed an exclusive distribution arrangement with ASHA Cellulose to supply its polymer-based products in selected international regions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Scheduled to begin on 15 May 2025, the long-term agreement spans Europe, the Middle East, Africa, as well as Northeast and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

ASHA Cellulose president Raju Shah said: \u201cAsha Cellulose has been involved in manufacturing ASHACEL Ethyl Cellulose and ASHAKOTE Aqueous Ethyl Cellulose dispersion using in-house capabilities and a world-class infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this partnership, we are confident that the unique combination of our polymer expertise and Colorcon\u2019s technical prowess and customer reach will help us serve our customers better.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ASHA Cellulose range features ASHACEL, a water-insoluble, organosoluble cellulose ether used in the health supplement and pharmaceutical sectors.<\/p>\n

Its functions include taste masking, modified release, and acting as a film-forming and binding agent. It also supports various formulation requirements through its rheological properties.<\/p>\n

The agreement also includes ASHAKOTE, a 30% water-based ethyl cellulose dispersion designed for extended release and moisture protection.<\/p>\n

This product is suited to markets where organic solvents are limited or prohibited.<\/p>\n

Colorcon will serve as the sole distributor for these products in the designated territories.<\/p>\n
