Credit: Anastasi T\/Shutterstock.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Sustainable packaging company International Paper (IP) is considering the establishment of a new facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, US.<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- sponsored-whitepaper sponsored hidden sponsored-with-form --><\/p>\n<p>This initiative aligns with the company\u2019s strategic growth plans to enhance its manufacturing capabilities across the US. It follows the recent ground-breaking of another packaging facility in Waterloo, Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>The company aims to increase its presence in the region and seeks to meet the rising demand for high-quality, sustainable packaging solutions in the western US. <\/p>\n<p>International Paper\u2019s potential new facility in Utah would incorporate advanced technology and equipment.<\/p>\n<p>International Paper Packaging Group West vice-president and general manager John Berry said: \u201cThis exploration is part of Packaging Solutions North America\u2019s strategic growth initiative to enhance our regional manufacturing footprint in the US.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSalt Lake City would be a new market for IP and an opportunity to better serve existing customers in the region and grow strategically with new customers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Details regarding the proposed facility, including capital investment, size, and potential job creation, will be disclosed as the evaluation process progresses.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, International Paper announced a quarterly dividend of $0.46 per share for common stock and $1.00 per share for cumulative preferred stock, both for the quarter ending 30 June 2025.<\/p>\n<p>These dividends are scheduled for payment on 13 June to shareholders on record as of 23 May 2025. <\/p>\n<p>With headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) operations centred in London, UK, International Paper employs over 65,000 team members.<\/p>\n<p>The company operates in more than 30 countries and is dedicated to providing sustainable packaging solutions that contribute to global safety and productivity.
