Credit: KM Packaging Services.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">British flexible packaging company KM Packaging has rolled out K-Peel 4G, a novel mono polyethylene terephthalate (PET) lidding film specification.<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- sponsored-whitepaper sponsored hidden sponsored-with-form --><\/p>\n<p>The company claims that its product aims to address the changing demands of the food packaging sector.<\/p>\n<p>K-Peel 4G is characterised by a low seal initiation temperature, allowing it to seal effectively even in the presence of contaminants.<\/p>\n<p>It can achieve clean peels at temperatures as low as 110\u00b0C with a dwell time of merely 0.3 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>The film\u2019s versatility with all PET trays ensures robustness, making it particularly advantageous for amorphous PET and recycled PET trays.<\/p>\n<p>It excels in overcoming sealing difficulties associated with thickness and limited sealing area.<\/p>\n<p>K-Peel 4G is said to be appropriate for ambient, chilled, or frozen uses and is oven-safe.<\/p>\n<p>Its antifog characteristics and adherence to OM7 migration testing broaden its applicability across multiple segments of the food industry.<\/p>\n<p>The material is available in two thicknesses, 21 microns and 25 microns.<\/p>\n<p>The thinner option provides opportunities for minimising film thickness during production, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>KM Packaging UK &amp; Eire commercial director Alan Lockhart said:\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to be able to launch this new material into the marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe advantages of a low seal imitation temperature means K-Peel 4G has a broad range of lidding applications across the industry.
