Faller Packaging is set to begin folding carton manufacturing at its new facility in Horsens, Denmark, by late 2025.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This move follows a project declaration made in April 2023 regarding the creation of an additional production site for the Nordic market.<\/p>\n

The company noted that its new plant is designed to meet the rising demand for pharmaceutical packaging.<\/p>\n

It will serve as a complement to the existing facility in Hvidovre, Denmark, and aims to enhance production capabilities in line with market requirements.<\/p>\n

With the introduction of this site, Faller Packaging intends to increase total capacity in Denmark to around 900 million units each year.<\/p>\n

The Horsens facility is projected to produce up to 600 million folding cartons annually, significantly contributing to the company\u2019s overall output.<\/p>\n

The choice to open a second production site is in line with Faller Packaging\u2019s expansion strategy for its folding carton division.<\/p>\n

The company has already secured and extensively refurbished a 5,700m\u00b2 building complex in Horsens.<\/p>\n

Production at the new facility will be implemented in stages, with future staff receiving thorough training at the Hvidovre site.<\/p>\n

This strategy aims to ensure a seamless transition and operational effectiveness.<\/p>\n

A significant advantage of the Horsens plant is the utilisation of modern full-format printing presses, which enable a greater output per sheet compared to the previously used half-format technology.<\/p>\n

This improvement is expected to boost production efficiency.<\/p>\n

While the Horsens site will concentrate solely on manufacturing, administrative operations will continue at the Hvidovre facility.<\/p>\n

The two plants will work in close collaboration, with Hvidovre overseeing new customer projects and producing both special and standard folding cartons.<\/p>\n

The establishment of the second production site is expected to offer considerable benefits for local pharmaceutical manufacturers and international companies in the area.<\/p>\n

Faller Packaging aims to enhance delivery times, logistical flexibility, and overall service quality.<\/p>\n

Faller Packaging managing director Christian Holmskov said: \u201cThe new factory is lean and combines efficiency and quality. This not only allows us to significantly increase capacity, but also strengthens our customer service on site.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s more, we are present here in an area that offers good conditions for further growth thanks to a strong industrial environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

In February 2024, Faller Packaging introduced a new fully recyclable tamper-evident label<\/a>.<\/p>\n
