Meadow, a packaging technology company based in Stockholm, has signed an agreement to partner with Novelis, a provider of sustainable aluminium solutions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

With this move, Novelis will become a part of Meadow\u2019s network of supply chain partners for aluminium.<\/p>\n

The agreement centres on increasing the proportion of recycled materials in Meadow\u2019s aluminium pre-fill solution, referred to as the MEADOW KAPSUL.<\/p>\n

Novelis joins a lineup of industry players, including Ball Corporation, DRT Holdings, and C-CARE, within Meadow\u2019s supply chain.<\/p>\n

This collaboration strengthens Meadow\u2019s ability to deliver its aluminium pre-fill solution at scale, backed by a robust industrial network.<\/p>\n

Operating across nine nations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Novelis recycles around 2.3 million metric tonnes of aluminium scrap annually.<\/p>\n

This includes a substantial quantity of used beverage cans, making Novelis as a \u201ccritical partner\u201d in the shift towards a circular economy.<\/p>\n

Meadow has confirmed \u00a0its commitment to more collaboration with Novelis on various projects.<\/p>\n

Meadow co-founder and CEO Victor Ljungberg said: \u201cWorking with Novelis marks another exciting milestone for Meadow; as a world leader in aluminium recycling and rolling, Novelis brings not only deep industrial expertise, but the scale and reliability needed to support our continued commercial growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrucially, it strengthens the sustainability of our value chain, creating one of the most circular packaging solutions available today, and brings us closer to our end goal of eliminating linear packaging.\u201d<\/p>\n

This strategic partnership is motivated by a mutual aim to create sustainable solutions that tackle the global waste challenge and enhance circularity.<\/p>\n

It underscores both Novelis\u2019 and Meadow\u2019s commitment to broadening the circular characteristics of aluminium in the consumer-packaged goods sector.<\/p>\n

Novelis senior vice-president and chief commercial officer Greg Schlicht said: \u201cWe are proud to work with Meadow to deliver a sustainable packaging option for consumer household products across the globe.<\/p>\n

In October 2024, Novelis announced a 27% reduction<\/a> in carbon emissions in financial year 2024 from its 2016 baseline.<\/p>\n
