Sustainability-focused flexible packaging specialist, Eco Flexibles<\/a>, has taken home the silver award for Sustainable Investment Project of the Year at the prestigious Environmental Packaging Awards 2025, held at London\u2019s Kia Oval.\u00a0<\/p>\n The award recognizes the company\u2019s bold investment in its purpose-built, 40,000 sq ft production supersite in Northampton<\/a> \u2013 a large-scale project that has redefined what\u2019s possible for sustainability-focused flexible packaging manufacturing in the UK.\u00a0<\/p>\n Simon Buswell, Director at Eco Flexibles, commented: \u201cWinning this award is a huge honor for our team and a powerful endorsement of what we set out to achieve \u2013 proving that flexible packaging can be both genuinely recyclable and commercially viable. Our goal has always been to simplify the switch to circular packaging formats without compromise, and this recognition reinforces that our model is working perfectly.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Eco Flexibles\u2019 supersite is the UK\u2019s only integrated manufacturing facility capable of designing and producing recyclable water-based printed monopolymer and paper pouch packaging in-house. Central to the site\u2019s capabilities is its twin installation of the Fujifilm Jet Press FP790<\/a> \u2013 a world-first outside Japan \u2013 which uses water-based digital inkjet to eliminate VOCs and dramatically reduce waste versus traditional analogue methods.\u00a0<\/p>\n In less than 12 months, Eco Flexibles installed a second Jet Press to meet soaring demand from brands seeking practical, circular packaging alternatives to incumbent mixed material packaging.\u00a0<\/p>\n The investment also includes solventless lamination and high-speed pouch conversion lines, giving the company full end-to-end control over quality, sustainability and speed to market.
