Dow has launched INNATE TF 220 precision packaging resin, which the company claims is a groundbreaking innovation in design for recyclability.<\/p>\n

This innovation is a leap forward in creating recyclable, high-performance biaxially oriented polyethylene (BOPE) films, addressing sustainability challenges in the flexible packaging sector.<\/p>\n

Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics APAC commercial vice-president Bambang Candra said: \u201cAsia Pacific is where material science meets circular ambition. Through breakthrough innovations like INNATE TF 220 resin \u2013 redefining the designed for recyclable packaging performance \u2013 and strategic partnerships across the value chain, we are accelerating the shift toward packaging circularity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is sustainability in action, helping enable brands to balance performance benefits while scaling monomaterial solutions and post-consumer recycled [PCR] adoption. Dow collaborated with Liby to incorporate 10% REVOLOOP PCR resin into the packaging of Liby\u2019s \u2018Floral Era\u2019 detergent series.<\/p>\n

Liby Research and Development Center general manager Zhang Liping said: \u201cAs a leading laundry brand in\u00a0China, Liby is committed to reconsidering plastic packaging and ensuring its circularity.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur strategic partnership with Dow has led to innovations such as\u00a0China\u2019s\u00a0first fully recyclable laundry packaging with Dow\u2019s INNATE TF-BOPE and the new generation \u2018Floral Era\u2019\u00a0detergent series using Dow\u2019s post-consumer recycled resins. This long-term collaboration enhances the sustainable value of our products and shows our commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n

This initiative aims to cut carbon emissions while maintaining the durability of the packaging.<\/p>\n

Dow said, INNATE TF 220 resin\u2019s unique molecular architecture offers improved processing efficiency, reducing waste during manufacturing.<\/p>\n

The resin improves stiffness and heat resistance, essential for downstream processes like printing and lamination, while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of monomaterial structures.<\/p>\n

The TF-BOPE films can be used across various applications, including food and beverage, and home and personal care packaging.<\/p>\n

Converters and brand owners are adopting TF-BOPE films to meet recycling regulations and futureproof their product lines, states the company.<\/p>\n
